Sberbank to open access to e-fincl assets platform for all in Oct

VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Sberbank will open access to its platform for issuance and circulation of digital financial assets in October, authorize transactions on it for individuals by the end of 2022 and launch emission of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Deputy Chairman Anatoly Popov told reporters on Tuesday.

“We are finishing the final testing of the platform and plan a full-scale opening for all at the beginning of October. The platform will become available. Any legal entity will be able to place their tokens, their liabilities, and another legal entity will be able to purchase them,” Popov said.

The next stage will be possible access for individuals.

“And an important next step is the appearance of the NFT, because we see demand, we are constantly asked to issue either some sports NFTs or some others,” Popov said.

The first NFTs may appear by the end of December and then Sberbank plans to admit individuals to its platform.
